Two lifelong friends and SLPs, creating an inclusive space for your child to thrive.

The story of us

Two lifelong friends on a mission to connect

Our story started 38 years ago, when we met as freshmen in LSU’s Miller Dorm. From being peers in undergrad to graduate school,
we shared a deep passion for speech-language pathology—and a lot of laughter along the way.
After graduation, our career paths varied, but our desire to help others communicate always kept us connected.

After raising our children in Baton Rouge, we launched Art Talk, a program born from our love of the creative process that drives communication, art and movement. Art Talk is NOT therapy; we do not offer IEPs, bill insurance or hold parent conferences. Art Talk is designed to offer families high quality, incredibly joyful art and movement activities that lead to authentic communication and a love of creativity.

We understand the difficulties that individual children can have in nurturing their spark, and we work with them to make it shine brighter ever.

Why "Art Talk"?

We believe that communication goes far beyond words. It’s in how we move, how we create, and how we express our inner worlds. Art Talk is our collaborative dream to bring creative, expressive communication to life and do it with the people we love.
